On this day, 206 years ago, May 24, 1819 (April 1, 1819, the lunar calendar), Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom was born. At the age of 24, Victoria, Queen of England and Ireland, Queen Victoria of India (May 24, 1819-January 22, 1901), full name Alexandrina Victoria, was by far the longest-serving monarch in the United Kingdom and the longest-serving female monarch in world history.
