Mao Zedong, the acting head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, served as editor-in-chief, Shen Yanbing served as deputy editor-in-chief, and Zhang Qiuren and others served as editors. 40,000 copies of each issue were printed. Mao Zedong, who wrote the "Publication Citation" for this magazine, said: "We can no longer let it go. We have to start counterattacking them.
