During his more than 40 years in Taiwan, he created many miracles with many well-known buildings and won many architectural-related honors, including Taipei World Trade Center and Taipei International Convention Center, all of which were designed by him. In June 2005, after Shen Zuhai's architectural firm established a branch in Shanghai, on the 18th of the same month, due to a myocardial infarction, after giving his last public speech at Tongji University in Shanghai, he unfortunately passed away in his Shanghai mansion at the age of 80.
