On November 16, 2010 (October 11, 2010 in the lunar calendar), Chinese acupuncture and Peking Opera were listed as intangible cultural heritage. On November 16, 2010 in Nairobi, the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage reviewed and approved the Chinese application items "Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion" and "Peking Opera", and included them in the "Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity".
