33 years ago today, on October 31, 1992 (October 6, 1992 lunar calendar), the "Wushan Ape-Man" exhibition hall was built in the Three Gorges. On October 31, 1992, the "Wushan Ape-Man" exhibition hall was newly built in Wushan County, Sichuan Province, in the hinterland of the Three Gorges River. This exhibition hall was jointly organized by the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Beijing Branch of the Chinese Library, and Wushan Ape-Man Land, Wushan County, Sichuan Province. In the autumn of 1986, the Three Gorges Paleontology Expedition Team jointly formed by the Institute of Ancient Ridges of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chongqing Natural History Museum and other units excavated the fossils of early Pleistocene humans in Longgupo, Wushan Temple, Sichuan Province The exhibition hall has set up counters according to four parts: "Wushan ape man and his culture", "The animal group during the life period of Wushan ape man", "The research results of Wushan ape man site", and "The birth and evolution of human beings". More than 100 kinds of fossils have been unearthed. The Wushan Museum in Chongqing will open to the public. The life scene of Wushan ape man reproduced in the Wushan Museum, which will be officially opened to the public. This is the small Three Gorges hanging coffin on display in the Wushan Museum, which will be officially opened to the public. In July 2012, the Wushan Museum in Wushan County, Chongqing is stepping up the exhibition and will be officially opened to the public in September this year. The museum has a total investment of 36 million yuan, and will display more than 20,000 cultural relics in stages and batches. The exhibition focuses on regional characteristics, and displays the unique Wushan culture from all angles with Wushan ape man, Daxi culture, Witch culture, and cultural relics boutique. It will become another resort for Wushan tourism.
