You can cross this bridge from Ningbo to Shanghai. The bridge has a total length of 36 kilometers, 11 kilometers longer than the King Fahd Bridge connecting Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. It once held the world record of the world's longest cross-sea bridge by the China World Records Association. It is now the third longest bridge in the world after the Pontchartrain Lake Bridge in the United States. Construction of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge started on November 14, 2003, was completed on June 26, 2007, and opened on May 1, 2008.
