On this day, 72 years ago, on September 27, 1953 (August 20, 1953 in the lunar calendar), the giant oil painting "Founding Ceremony" was published. On September 27, 1953, the People's Daily published the masterpiece "Founding Ceremony" by Dong Xiwen, professor of the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The original work is 233cm high and 400cm long. Mao Zedong praised the oil painting as "having a unique national form." The original work is collected in the Museum of China Revolution.
