On September 9, 1828, Russian writer Leo Tolstoy was born
On this day, 197 years ago, September 9, 1828 (August 1, 1828, the lunar calendar), the birth of Russian literary hero Lev Tolstoy. Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (English: Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy September 9, 1828 (August 28 Julian Calendar)-November 20, 1910 (November 7 Julian Calendar)) was a Russian novelist, philosopher, and political thinker. He was also a non-violent Christian anarchist and educational reformer. He was the most influential in the aristocratic family of Tolstoy. An outstanding representative of the great critical realism of the 19th century and the greatest writer in Russia. He worked hard to create "the first-class works in world literature" with his powerful brushwork and excellent artistic skills, so he was praised by Lenin as a "genius artist" with "the most sober realism." Tolstoy was born on August 28, 1828, in a landlord's estate in southern Moscow. In September 1862, Tolstoy married the daughter of a doctor at the Moscow court office. After marriage, he once devoted himself to the care and management of the land, but soon he still concentrated on creation. In 1862, he wrote the novella "Cossack". 1863-1868 In 1979, Tolstoy wrote his first masterpiece of world significance-War and Peace-through seven changes. 1873-1877 During the 1980s, after 12 careful revisions, Tolstoy wrote his second masterpiece, Anna Karenina. In 1881, Tolstoy's family moved to Moscow. Life in Moscow prompted a change in the writer's worldview. The long masterpiece "Resurrection" is Tolstoy's masterpiece after the transformation of his world outlook. It is a summary of the great writer's ideological, religious ethics and aesthetic exploration. It is also the most comprehensive, profound and most powerful criticism of the writer's landlord bourgeois society in Russia. Tolstoy's thoughts are full of contradictions. This contradiction is a reflection of the complex contradictions in Russian society. It is a vivid portrayal of the sobriety and weakness, struggle and hesitation, and shouts and depression of an aristocratic intellectual with a sense of justice in his pursuit of a new life. Even though Tolstoy's works contain reactionary and utopian things, they are still the pride of progressive mankind in the world. He has been recognized as a literary master in the world.
