December 3, 1931 "Wudang Sword Immortal" Li Jinglin died
Ninety-four years ago today, on December 3, 1931 (October 24, 1931), Li Jinglin, a Beiyang warlord and a master of modern martial arts, passed away. Li Jinglin, the character Fang Chen, was named "Guangguchuan". Born in the tenth year of the Qing Guangxu Dynasty (1885), he was from Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province. He inherited his father's skills and learned martial arts from his father. He studied martial arts such as Yanqingmen and Erlangmen in his hometown. The teenager entered Fengtian's "Yuzi Army" (a student military academy in Shenyang run by the Qing Dynasty). Because of his intelligence and good martial arts foundation, he was loved by Song Weiyi in the army "pipe belt" (the title of a Qing Dynasty officer). Song Weiyi was a swordsman of the Wudang Dan school, who secretly taught Li Jinglin the Wudang swordsmanship. The Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded China, the "Yuzi Army" was disbanded, and the teachers and apprentices went their separate ways. Outside the Great Wall, Chen Shijun, an alien from northern Anhui (1821-1932), taught swordsmanship. "Wudang Sword Immortal" Li Jinglin advocated the nationalization of the whole people in his later years. National martial arts can strengthen the country and strengthen the race, strengthen the revitalization of the national spirit, and prompted Chiang Kai-shek to establish the "Central National Arts Museum". He used to be a famous military general of the Fengjun Army. He lived in Shanghai after the war. Both Huang Jinrong and Du Yuesheng had to give face. He had accepted many politicians as disciples in the Nationalist government, and had the greatest political influence. The word Fang Chen, number "Guangguchuan", is from Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province. He graduated from Baoding Military Academy in his early years and studied under Yang Jianhou, the son of Yang Luchan, the grandmaster of Yang's Tai Chi. He was a close friend of Yang Chengfu. When he was a teenager, he met his mentor swordsman Song Weiyi outside the customs and was taught Wudang swordsmanship. He was the most addicted to martial arts in his life. Until middle age, he visited famous teachers in his busy military affairs, and learned boxing and swordsmanship from Tai Chi master Sun Lutang and gossip master Jia Fengming. He studied it very deeply and developed Wudang swordsmanship widely. Li Jinglin used to be the commander of the First Front Army of Fengjun under Zhang Zuolin, and the most brave and skilled military general. Later, he resigned due to the war and settled in Shanghai. In 1927, Chiang Kai-shek established the Nanjing government. Li Jinglin campaigned in Shanghai for more than a year, to wash away the shame of the "sick man of East Asia", to advocate "the nationalization of the whole people", and the ability of "national martial arts to strengthen the strong country and the strong race". This was the first person at that time, with strong appeal and influence. In order to win over a senior general of the Fenghuang army and buy some people's hearts, Chiang Kai-shek sent Shao Lizi to Shanghai and asked Li Jinglin to establish the "Central National Art Museum" and serve as the curator. On March 24, 1928, the Nanjing Central National Art Museum was established. Li Jinglin served as the executive deputy curator and began to set off a wave of national martial arts learning. Li Jinglin (right) taught his disciple Huang Yuanxiu Wudang Sword. In order to promote the learning of martial arts, Li Jinglin wanted to hold a "national fighting competition" in the spring of 1929, but he had no funds. Although he had been a senior general of the Fengjun Army and a provincial governor, he was upright and had clean sleeves. At that time, his living expenses in Shanghai were difficult to maintain, and he was even less able to hold the competition. After repeated consideration, Li Jinglin decided to take a "dangerous chess" step. In a conversation with Huang Jinrong and Du Yuesheng, Li Jinglin said that he would ask them to help organize the "National Fighting Competition" and ask them to sponsor 50,000 oceans each. Huang Du and the two began to be a little reluctant. Seeing this, Li pulled out his pistol and put it on the stage, half joking and half serious: "You are famous'big hooligans'. This time I will restore my true colors and be a'big bandit '. I want to kidnap you two hooligans." After saying that, they laughed heartily, and the two of Huang Du, who had no face, talked about it. On March 24, 1928, the Nanjing Central National Arts Museum was established. Li Jinglin served as the deputy curator, Zhang Zhijiang served as the curator, and taught many disciples. On December 3, 1931, he died of dysentery in Jinan at the age of 47. During his lifetime, friendly Zou Shengyuan once had a poem: "The ruler of Longquan is terrifying, and the dancing cold light is dazzling. The unique skills of the Jun family should be unique, and they should be passed on to the future generations of Qunmei." Mr. Li Jinglin dedicated his life to Chinese martial arts, which can be regarded as an example. Some people say that he is in a high position, so he can enjoy the fame, because his subordinates like to brag about his cultural martial arts outside, and because of his high position, folk martial artists dare not rashly compete with him, or if they can defeat him, they also pretend to be defeated and take the opportunity to please Li Jinglin, so there is a myth of his undefeated legend; some people say that his martial arts are unfathomable, legend that he and Li Shuwen have fought, and he is the only one who used weapons to defeat Li Shuwen's big gun, I don't know if it is false. To sum up, he did have the first merit in promoting national arts, and this alone is enough to make his name in history.
