Seventy-two years ago today, on June 18, 1953 (May 8, 1953), the Farouk dynasty of Egypt was overthrown. The Republic of Egypt was proclaimed, with Najib (left) as Prime Minister and Nasser (right) as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior. On June 18, 1953, the current situation in Egypt has become clearer since King Farouk went into exile. Egypt's military coup authorities have officially announced the abolition of the monarchy. Establishment of a republic. Major General Mohamed Najib was appointed President and Prime Minister. This action ended the 148-year rule of the Muhammad-Ali dynasty. Ali was a soldier in the Turkish army and an Albanian adventurer. In 1805, under the Ottoman Empire, he established himself as Governor General of Egypt. Ten of his descendants had ruled Egypt, and Farouq was the last. Egyptian King Fouad-Farouq (1920-1965) succeeded to the throne in April 1936. On July 26, 1937, he was sworn into the throne, known as Farouq I, and established the Farouq Dynasty. The royal family owned a quarter of the country's land, was the representative of domestic feudal forces, and defected to Britain. It was the pillar of imperialism in Egypt. The Revolutionary Committee issued a statement saying that their original purpose was to eliminate imperialism and its supporters. The statement listed a series of betrayals against the people by the "Ali Dynasty". The statement condemned Farouq as a "sinner and oppressive voice". The main change in the cabinet was the appointment of coup organizer Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser as deputy prime minister and interior minister in charge of the police force.
