After the Lugouqiao Incident, in order to further expand the war of aggression against China, the Japanese government dispatched the 1st, 11th Brigade and 12th Division of the Kwantung Army from Northeast China and Korea, and dispatched the 5th Division of the Bantan Army from Japan to North China to strengthen the stationed army of China.
