It resumed publication in Guangzhou on January 1, 1938, and moved to Guilin after the fall of Guangzhou. On March 1, 1941, the Guilin edition was suppressed by the Kuomintang government. By October 10, 1945, it was renamed "Jianguo Daily" and resumed publication in Shanghai. It was only published until October 24, No. 15, and was banned by the Kuomintang government.
