On this day, 27 years ago, on August 27, 1998 (July 6, 1998, the lunar calendar), China held the first online "China Technology Export Fair." The first online "China Technology Export Fair" sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation opened in Beijing on August 27, 1998. It showed that my foreign trade and economic cooperation work has taken another important step towards the era of e-commerce. In order to promote the sustained, stable and healthy development of foreign trade and economic cooperation, we must vigorously adjust and optimize the structure of export commodities and shift to deeply processed, high added value, and high-tech products as the main body. The online "China Technology Export Fair" is held to implement "promoting trade through science and technology." It is the first time that my country has used government funding to comprehensively display domestic export-available technologies and products through electronic information resources and network information technology, providing opportunities for enterprises and scientific research institutes. According to reports, this fair brings together more than 3500 technical exhibition projects from more than 700 enterprises and scientific research institutes across the country, covering various fields of the national economy and basically reflecting the technical resources and technical strength of various industries in my country.
