On 119 years ago today, July 21, 1906 (June 1, 1906 in the lunar calendar), Taiwanese musician Deng Yuxian was born. Deng Yuxian (July 21, 1906-June 11, 1944), aged 39, was a Hakka from Longtan, Taoyuan County, Taiwan Province. He has written famous songs such as "Rain Night Flowers" and "Looking at the Spring Breeze". In 1942, he took Yuyu Yuasaki as his pen name, and in the same year he changed his Japanese surname to Oyu Higata. Deng Yuxian was born on July 21, 1906 in Longtan Township, Taoyuan County, Taiwan Province. At the age of 15, he entered the Taipei Normal School of the Governor's Office of Taiwan (now the "National" Taipei Education University) and graduated in 1925. At the age of 24, he traveled to Japan to learn composition. In 1932, when Deng Yuxian was 27 years old, Jiang Tianshou established the Wensheng Music Plate Company in Yongle Town, Dadaocheng, Taipei City, and invited Deng Yuxian to join the company; Deng Yuxian agreed and created "Dadaocheng Marching Song." In 1933, Deng Yuxian was 28 years old. Chen Junyu, the second Minister of Literature and Art of Gulenmeya Records, strongly invited Deng Yuxian to join the company, and Deng Yuxian agreed; In the same year, Deng Yuxian wrote songs such as "Looking at the Spring Breeze" and "Sorrowful Night". At the end of the Japanese occupation period, all Chinese songs were banned due to the implementation of the imperialization movement. When Deng Yuxian was 35 years old, he quit his job and returned to his hometown of Xionglin, where he taught at Xionglin Elementary School. Deng Yuxian died of illness at the age of 39.
