On October 1, 2010, Xi'an Daming Palace National Heritage Park opened
On October 1, 2010 (August 24, 2010 lunar calendar), the Daming Palace National Heritage Park in Xi'an opened. The Daming Palace National Heritage Park, covering an area of 3.5 square kilometers, opened on October 1, 2010. Two-thirds of the park area is free of charge and can be visited for free. Daming Palace was built in the eighth year of Emperor Taizong of Tang Zhenguan (634 AD). Since Emperor Gaozong of Tang, most of the emperors of the Tang Dynasty have lived here and handled the government. It was once the political and cultural center of the Tang Dynasty for more than 200 years. In the third year of Qianning (896 AD), Daming Palace was destroyed in a military rebellion. Daming Palace is the most magnificent palace complex in the Tang Dynasty and one of the grandest and largest palace complexes in the history of the world. The Daming Palace Site Protection Project was launched in October 2007. It is a key project for the protection of major sites in the national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and an important part of the overall declaration of world cultural heritage on the "Silk Road". The planned area of the Daming Palace National Site Park is 3.5 square kilometers, with a total investment of 12 billion yuan, of which the relocation and resettlement cost is about 9 billion yuan; the archaeology, cultural relics protection display and park construction are about 3 billion yuan. After the opening of the park, six highlights will be formed: a large-scale site pattern composed of 8 kilometers of palace walls, palace gates, and central axes; unique landmarks of oriental ancient architectural sites, such as Zichen Hall, Hanyao Gate, etc.; miniature landscapes built on the basis of scientific restoration research; a site center integrating archaeology, scientific research, science popularization, entertainment and tourism; a site interpretation system combining 3D movies, objects, electronics, models and signs; and a night landscape system of "Moonlight Daming Palace". Daming Palace National Heritage Park is divided into two parts: a free-of-charge area and a charging area. Citizens and tourists in the free-of-charge area can visit and visit at any time, with free access. The area accounts for about two-thirds of the total area of the site park. The charging area is mainly a cultural relics protection and cultural relics display area. Visitors will be charged tickets, and the adult ticket price is 60 yuan each. After the park opens, the archaeological work will continue. Tourists and citizens can visit the archaeological work of Daming Palace up close. Tourists who are interested in archaeological work can also receive free training, participate in it, and experience the fun of archaeology. Comments: Next time I go to Xi'an, I must go and see it! But if modern people imagine too many things, it will be boring.
