Xing Muhuan (1915-1999) was an economist and academician of Academia Sinica. Xing Muhuan was born on August 3, 1915 in Huangmei County, Hubei Province. In 1938, he was admitted to the Department of Economics of Central University (renamed Nanjing University in 1949), and graduated in 1942 with Xu Zhihe, Chen Guanlie, Tong Zhehui and others. Later, he came to Taiwan and founded the Economic Research Institute of Academia Sinica and was the first director; In the early 1950, he counseled the Accounting Office of the Executive Yuan to establish a national accounting system.
