In 1937, he went to Japan to learn chess as a teacher. In 1943, he returned to North Korea and began to work hard to develop his country's chess industry. In 1950, he directly participated in the first division competition in the Korean professional chess world with three-stage qualifications. In 54, it was promoted to four stages, five stages in 55, six stages in 58, seven stages in 59, and eight stages in 63. 83 years of career ninth grade. After the Korean Go Association was officially established in 1955 under the promotion of Cho Nam Cheol and others, various news competitions in the Korean chess world were born one after another. In the first phase of the "National Hand War" launched in 1956, Zhao Nanzhe defeated the heroes and won the crown. Since then, he has dominated nine consecutive times in the "National Hands-on War". In the "Overlord War" in 1959, Zhao Nanzhe won the championship of the first competition, and since then achieved four consecutive championships. The first "Top Position Battle" held in 1959 won the championship. In this competition, his record is 7 consecutive championships! In addition to the competitions mentioned above, he also won the first "Celebrity Battle" championship in 1968 and the first "Most Obstacle Battle" championship in 1973. In the 1970s, he basically withdrew from front-line competition and engaged in writing and cultivating the next generation of successors. Due to his teacher-student relationship with Mugashi, Zhao Nanzhe handed over his nephew Zhao Zhixun, who was only 6 years old, to Mugashi for training, and he became a talented person. Zhao Nanzhe's chess style is elegant and lively, and his pace is fast.
