During the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Guan Guangmei, a female worker at Liaoning Benxi Vegetable Company, was interviewed by reporters. Since 1985, Guan Guangmei has rented 8 non-staple food stores in a row, generating 1 million yuan for the country in two years, and the income of employees has also increased exponentially. However, some people believe that "Guan Guangmei is engaged in bourgeois liberalization and is not taking the socialist road." In response, Guan Guangmei wrote to the Economic Daily, suggesting that the leasing enterprise is socialist or capitalist.
