On this day 751 years ago, on August 12, 1274 (July 9, 1274 lunar calendar), the Emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, Emperor Song Duzong Zhao Li (1240-1274), died. Zhao Li (1240-1274), the sixth emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, the nephew of Song Lizong Zhao Yun, the son of Emperor Rong Zhao Yurui, originally named Meng Qi, also known as Zi and Changyuan. Song Lizong had no children, so he took him as an adopted son and was successively named King Jian'an, King Yongjia, and King Zhong. In the first year of Jingding (1260), he was made the crown prince. He succeeded to the throne in October of the fifth year of Jingding (1264), and the second year was changed to "Xianchun". Zhao Qian reigned for 10 years, and when he ascended the throne, the Jin Kingdom had been destroyed for many years, while the army of the Mongolian Yuan in the north was moving southward, and when the national disaster was at hand, he handed over the power of the military to Jia Sidao, which made the splendid rivers and mountains in the southern Song Dynasty Puan'an Jiangnan in darkness. He died in Lin'an on August 12, 1274, at the age of 35, and was posthumously named Emperor Wujing Xiao of Duanming Civilization, and the temple name Duzong was buried in Kuaiji Yongshaoling.
