On this day, 68 years ago, on November 16, 1957 (September 25, 1957, the lunar calendar), China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology was established. Many people are no stranger to the glorious scene of rockets soaring into the sky. Especially on the early morning of August 4, 1992, the majestic "Long March 2E" bundled launch vehicle launched an Australia communications satellite into the sky is even more unforgettable. In Beijing, on the central axis marked by the Forbidden City, there is my country's largest launch vehicle development base-China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology. From the establishment of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology on November 16, 1957 to the launch of "Australian Satellite" and "Rising" by China rockets into the sky in 1992, the development of my country's launch vehicle industry has a history of 35 years. my country's rocket industry has grown from scratch and continues to develop from weak to strong. Marked by the successful launch of the "Australian Satellite" by the Long March-2 bundled rocket, my country's aerospace technology has entered the ranks of the world's advanced. The development of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, the earliest and largest rocket development base established in my country, has drawn the trajectory of the development of my country's aerospace industry from one aspect. Thousands of astronauts have used the launch vehicles they developed to compose the Republic's splendid aerospace epic. In 1960, the first short-range rocket copied by the Institute of Launch Vehicle Technology was successfully launched, opening the curtain on the development of launch vehicles in my country. Subsequently, the research institute successively developed medium-and short-range to long-range rockets. In May 1980, the long-range rocket developed by the Institute of Launch Vehicle Technology was successfully launched into the South Pacific, marking that my country's large-scale liquid rocket technology had reached the international level. The Long March series of rockets developed by the Institute of Launch Vehicle Technology have successfully launched artificial earth satellites for various purposes into space more than 20 times. In April 1970, the Long March-1 rocket sent my country's first artificial satellite,"Dongfanghong-1", into low-earth orbit. This achievement made my country the fifth country in the world to independently develop and launch satellites. In November 1975, the Long March-2 rocket successfully launched my country's first recoverable remote sensing satellite, making my country the third country in the world to master satellite recovery technology. In April 1984, the Long March-3 rocket successfully launched my country's first experimental communications satellite, making my country the third country in the world to use low-temperature fuel engines and the second to master high-altitude secondary ignition technology of engines. Since then, my country has the ability to launch satellites in the geostationary orbit, and rocket technology has reached the world's advanced level. In July 1990, the new generation of high-thrust rocket Long March-2 bundled rocket was successfully launched, marking that my country's rocket technology had leapt to a new level and became one of the few countries in the world that has mastered bundling technology. Now, the Long March series rockets have made great strides into the international market. In 1987 and 1988, the Long March 2 rocket provided satellite carrying services for France and Germany. In 1990, the Long March-3 rocket sent the "Asia-1" satellite into space, allowing my country's launch vehicle to officially enter the international launch market. In 1992, the Long March-2 bundled rocket was successfully launched "Australian Star" and "Rising", further enhancing my country's space technology's ability to participate in international competition. China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology will also develop new models of rockets to achieve serialization, generalization and commercialization of my country's launch vehicles to meet the requirements of various launch services at home and abroad.
