103 years ago today, on August 22, 1922 (June 30, 1922, the Chinese version of the Communist Manifesto came out. The first full Chinese translation of the Communist Manifesto was held on August 22, 1922. The Chinese translation of the Communist Manifesto was officially published by the Shanghai Socialist Research Society as the first series of socialist studies. This was the first full translation of the Communist Manifesto, which immediately aroused a strong response. The first edition was sold out in less than a month. From then on, this ghost lingering on the land of Europe came to China. In February 1922, Chen Wangdao, a Chinese language teacher at the First Normal School in Zhejiang, returned to his hometown Yiwu Branch with the Japanese translation of the Communist Manifesto provided by Dai Jitao and the English translation borrowed by Chen Duxiu from the Library of Beiheng University through Li Dazhao. He even devoted himself to the translation of the Communist Manifesto co-authored by Marx and Engels. After more than two months of painstaking translation, the "Communist Manifesto" was finally translated. After arriving in Shanghai, 29-year-old Chen Wangdao handed over the translation of the Communist Manifesto, together with the Japanese and English versions, to Li Hanjun and Chen Duxiu for review. Based on their opinions, Chen Wangdao carefully revised it again to improve the translation.
