The new government confiscated food from wealthy households and distributed it to the poor, confiscated the property of warlords and foreign companies, and released political prisoners. After 10 days, they were forced to withdraw from Changsha. After the establishment of the Red Army, according to the instructions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, they attacked Changsha again. Due to the failure of the two sieges, they moved to Jiangxi and captured Ji'an, expanding the red area in southern Jiangxi and eastern Hunan. Chen Yi'an, commander of the first column of the Eighth Army of the Red Third Army, died in the battle of attacking Changsha
