On December 1, 1925, the Locarno Convention was officially signed in London and entered into force on September 14, 1926. The conventions include: the Final Protocol of the Locarno Conference, the Mutual Guarantee Treaty between Germany, Belgium, France, Britain and Italy (also known as the Rhineland Security Convention), the arbitration treaties signed by Germany, France, Poland and Czech Republic respectively, and the Mutual Guarantee Treaties signed by France with Poland and Czech Republic respectively. The Locarno Conference temporarily adjusted relations among Western European countries, restored Germany's status as a major power in Europe, and weakened France's leadership position. Comments: As a victorious country in World War I, France began to decline, while Germany got rid of the shadow of failure and began to grow rapidly.
