On November 17, 1968, Robin Li was born in an ordinary family in Yangquan, Shanxi Province. When he was young, he was fascinated by opera and was admitted to Shanxi Yangquan Jin Opera Troupe. In 1991, Robin Li graduated from Peking University with a major in information management, and then went to the State University of New York at Buffalo to complete a master's degree in computer science.
