On November 22, 2001, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Information Office of the State Council, the All-China Youth Federation, the All-China Federation of Students, the National Youth Working Committee, and China Youth Internet Association jointly held an online release conference in Beijing to officially release the "National Youth Internet Civilization Convention" to the public: we must be good at online learning and not browse bad information. Communicate honestly and friendly, and do not insult and defraud others. We should enhance our awareness of self-protection and not date netizens at will. It is necessary to maintain network security and not disrupt network order. It should be beneficial to physical and mental health and not indulge in virtual time and space. It is reported that this is the first large-scale online conference held nationwide so far. In addition to the central venue of the conference, branch venues have been set up in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, and more than 10,000 young people from all over the country participated in the conference through the Internet.
