Thirty years ago today, on November 13, 1995 (September 21, 1995 lunar calendar), our country built a supercritical large-scale power station. In mid-November 1995, the first supercritical large-scale power station in our country - Huaneng Shanghai Shidongkou Second Power Plant Phase I Project with two 600,000-kilowatt units passed the national completion and acceptance. The completion and commissioning of Shidongkou Second Power Plant marks a new step in the development of our country's power industry from subcritical units to supercritical units. Shanghai Shidongkou Second Power Plant was jointly financed by Huaneng International Power Development Company and the Shanghai Municipal Government, with a total investment of 3.7 billion yuan.
