Zhu Yun Braised

Zhu Yunjiao was born on December 5, 1377, the second emperor of the Ming Dynasty, with the era name "Jianwen", the grandson of Emperor Taizu of Ming Zhu Yuanzhang, the second son of Zhu Biao, the prince of Yiwen, but Zhu Biao's eldest son Zhu Xiongying died early. After the death of Zhu Biao's original partner Chang, Zhu Yunjiao's mother, Lu Shi, was also rectified, so Emperor Taizu of Ming Zhu Yuanzhang regarded Zhu Yunjiao as the eldest grandson. In the 25th year of Hongwu (1392), the crown prince Zhu Biao died of illness, and Zhu Yunjiao was appointed as the emperor's grandson. Due to his familiarity with Confucian scriptures since childhood, the people close to him were idealistic, so his temperament was as gentle and elegant as his father, that is, he was known for being long and generous. In the 29th year of Hongwu, Zhu Yunzao asked Taizu to amend the "Law of the Ming Dynasty". He referred to the "Book of Rites" and the criminal laws of previous dynasties to modify the 73 overly harsh provisions in the "Law of the Ming Dynasty", which won the hearts of the people.

In August 1399, King of Yan, Zhu Di, swore to disobey the order and ordered the soldiers to launch an army under the banner of "the side of the Qing Dynasty". Historically known as the "Battle of Jingnan". During a melee after the arrival of King Yan's army, a fire broke out in the palace compound in Nanjing City. When the fire was extinguished, several charred remains were found in the ashes, no longer identifiable. According to the eunuchs, they were the bodies of the emperor, the empress, and his eldest son, Zhu Wenkui. But the whereabouts of Zhu Yunzao eventually became an unsolved case. No one can be sure if he was really burned to death.
