102 years ago today, on October 24, 1923 (September 15, 1923, the lunar calendar), Zhang Zuolin founded Northeastern University. Zhang Zuolin founded Northeastern University on October 24, 1923. On October 24, 1923, public Northeastern University officially opened. In the spring of 1922, Zhang Zuolin ordered Wang Yongjiang, Governor and Minister of Finance of Fengtian, to organize Northeastern University. The former Shenyang Normal School was renamed the Science and Engineering Department of Northeastern University, and the Original Language School was renamed the Grammar Department of Northeastern University. The funds are shared by Feng and Hei provinces. The school site is temporarily located in the former site of Shenyang Normal University. Wang Yongjiang serves as the principal and has more than 480 students. Grammar consists of the Department of China Literature, the Department of English, the Department of Russian Literature, the Department of Law, and the Department of Political Science; Science and Engineering consists of the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Physics, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Civil Engineering, and the Department of Mechanics. The school has abundant funds and excellent staff salaries, surpassing all public and private universities in China.
