Since the fall of Northeast China, he was worried about the national crisis and waited for dawn every night to engage in the cause of national salvation. During the Great Wall and Suiyuan Anti-Japanese War, both donated money and materials, and led their children and church members to organize rescue teams. At the beginning of the all-out War of Resistance, he personally visited various battlefields in North China. He destroyed rescue teams composed of monks and church members, rescued more than 20,000 wounded people, and sheltered a large number of China refugees in the occupied areas. In 1940, during hard work, he contracted yellow gangrene and was transferred to Chongqing. The treatment failed and he died in Geleshan on June 24.
