On September 2, 1332, Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty passed away
693 years ago today, on September 2, 1332 (August 12, 1332, the 1332 lunar calendar), Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty, Tutyuer, passed away. Borzhijin Tutyapur (February 16, 1304-September 2, 1332) was a Khan of the Mongolian Empire, known as "Zhayadu Khan". The eighth emperor of the Yuan Dynasty (he reigned twice, the first time from October 16, 1328 to February 27, 1329, and the second time from September 8, 1329 to September 2, 1332. He reigned for a total of four years), his temple name was Wenzong, and his posthumous title was Emperor Shengming Yuanxiao. The character's life is Bo 'er of Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty, Tutieyur, also known as Emperor Zhadu, the second son of Wuzong, the younger brother of Emperor Mingzong, his mother, Empress Wenwen Zhaosheng, and the Wu family of Tang Dynasty. He was the 12th emperor of the Yuan Dynasty (reigned from 1328 to 1329; later restored, and reigned from 1329 to 1332, for a total of 4 years). He was the second son of Emperor Wuzong of the Yuan Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Yingzong, Tutyuer was exiled to Qiongzhou, Hainan. After Emperor Taiding ascended the throne, he was summoned back to Beijing. He was granted the title of King Huai in Jin and lived in Jiankang, Jiangling and other places. In July of the first year of Zhihe (1328), Emperor Taiding died. It was learned that Yan Tiemu 'er, a member of the Privy Council, launched a coup in Dadu and planned to establish King Zhou He Shili, the eldest son of Wuzong, as emperor. Later, Lu Yuan was changed to Tutyur and sent envoys to Jiangling to welcome him into the capital. In August, Wang Chan, King of Liang, Prime Minister Daolasha and others supported Asujiba, the son of Emperor Taiding, in Xanadu and sent troops to attack Dadu. In September, Tutiemur took over the throne in Dadu, changed the Yuan Dynasty, and with the support of Yan Tiemur, his Kipcha Corps and some of the former troops of Wuzong, defeated Wang Chan, Daolasha, etc., and captured the capital. Then he mobilized troops to pacify opposition groups in Sichuan and Yunnan. In August of the second year of Tianli (1329), the eldest son of Wuzong, He Shiqian, took the throne in North Helin, which was the name of Mingzong. When Emperor Mingzong traveled south to Wanhuchadu near Xandu (north of today's Zhangbei County, Hebei Province), Tutiemur and Yan Tiemu 'er, who had nominally abdicated, went to meet him and waited for an opportunity to poison Emperor Mingzong. As a result, Tutyapur returned to Xanadu in August. The following year, the Yuan Dynasty Tianli was changed, which is historically known as the change of Tianli. After Wenzong's throne was restored, he revised the "Jingshi Grand Ceremony" and built the Guizhang Pavilion in an attempt to promote civil governance. However, during the reign of Emperor Wenzong, Prime Minister Yan Timur claimed his meritorious service and played with the court. The Yuan Dynasty's government became more corrupt and the country's power declined further. During the reign of Wenzong, many peasant uprisings broke out in the country, and major unrest was brewing. In August of the third year of Zhishun (1332), Wenzong died of illness at the age of 29. Before his death, he regretted murdering his brother, confided his true feelings, and ordered the establishment of Mingzong's son to redeem himself. After his death, he was buried in Niangu, with the temple name Wenzong, the posthumous name of Emperor Shengming Yuan Xiao, and the honorific name (Khan name) Zhayadu Khan.
