Amnesty in South Korea on August 13, 1999
Today, 26 years ago, on August 13, 1999 (Lunar Calendar, July 3, 1999), the South Korean Day of Amnesty was implemented. In commemoration of the 54th anniversary of the "8/15" Day of Amnesty, the South Korean government announced amnesty on August 13, 1999 for more than 2,800 people convicted of various criminal punishments.
