On January 25, the special court sentenced Jiang Qing and Zhang Chunqiao to death in accordance with the law, with a two-year suspension of execution; sentenced Wang Hongwen to life imprisonment; and sentenced Yao Wenyuan, Chen Boda, Huang Yongsheng, Wu Faxian, Li Zuopeng, Qiu Huizuo and Jiang Tengjiao to fixed-term imprisonment of different terms.
