In 1955, as one of the 156 key construction projects during the "First Five-Year Plan" period of New China, with the instructions of Chairman Mao Zedong, China's largest tractor manufacturing factory broke ground in the Royal Garden of Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty in Jianxi, Luoyang. On July 20, 1958, as the first tractor made by the China people slowly drove out of the factory building, a new page was opened in the history of China's farming. On November 1, 1959, entrusted by Premier Zhou Enlai, Vice Premier Tan Zhenlin participated in a large-scale inauguration ceremony. After cutting the red silk ribbon, he announced to the world: The era when the people of China did not use cattle to cultivate land had begun!
