The Austrian pianist, composer, and music educator Karl Czerny has passed away

Carl Czerny (February 21, 1791-July 15, 1857) was an Austrian. Famous composer, pianist, music educator.

In 1791, the famous Austrian pianist, educator and composer Cherny was born in a musical family in Vienna. He was able to play the piano when he was 3 years old, record his own music when he was 7 years old, and was able to clearly and smoothly play all the piano works of Mozart and Klementi, and have extraordinary musical memory. In 1800, nine-year-old Cherny had his first public performance in Vienna as a pianist. In 1801, when he was only 10 years old, Cherny went to see Beethoven. Beethoven was moved by Cherny's wonderful performance and readily accepted the student. Beethoven taught him to play the piano for free during the three years from 1801 to 1803. Later, Cherny played Beethoven's "Concerto in C Major" and "The Emperor's Concerto", which made him famous. He was able to recite all Beethoven's piano works.

From the age of 15, Cherny began a teaching career to which he devoted his life. As an outstanding piano teacher, he has trained a large number of talented students, including Dole, Clark, Il, Selberg, etc., and the most famous one is the generation of piano master Liszt. He taught Liszt the piano for free, and Liszt also said,"Everything about me."』

As a piano educator, he wrote countless piano etudes throughout his life, which are basic teaching materials for students learning piano to contact. His position lies in building a bridge between Beethoven's era and modern piano performance.
