On July 26, 2010 (June 15, 2010 in the lunar calendar), WikiLeaks published a large number of secret documents, causing an uproar. Wikileaks is a large document disclosure and analysis website established in December 2006 to expose corruption in governments and businesses. The website claims that its data sources are untraceable and uncensored. WikiLeaks has no headquarters or traditional infrastructure. The site relies on servers and supporters in dozens of countries and is relatively under little pressure from lawyers or local governments. On July 26, 2010, WikiLeaks, with the cooperation of The New York Times, The Guardian and The Mirror, disclosed as many as 92,000 secret documents of the US military in Afghanistan online, causing an uproar. Recently, some organizations and individuals involved in disputes with Assange have been attacked online in what appears to be an action by hackers to retaliate against the website. The founder of WikiLeaks is Julian Assange. He was born in Queensland, Australia in 1971. It is reported that he participated in the founding of the Australian ISTS(the international seventy-third society, a gathering of people from the 1970s around the world). In his childhood, Assange lived a gypsy wandering life since he was a child because his parents opened a mobile performance company. He attended a total of 37 schools and 6 universities in primary and secondary school. Perhaps it was this wandering life that created his restless adventurous character. (The above information comes from Assange's book "Wiki War Prequel 1: Assange and His Hacker Comrades" co-authored by Australia writer Dreyfus, with the English title "UNDERGROUND") The operating funds of "WikiLeaks" come from donations from volunteers and the pockets of team members. The website often discloses "internal documents" that expose government and corporate corruption. The site claims: Here, whistleblowers, journalists and bloggers can expose all kinds of corruption without fear of retaliation from employers and the government. The "WikiLeaks" website was established in 2006 to publish confidential "internal" documents. It claims to expose the inside story of corruption or even illegality in the government or corporate and pursue information transparency. WikiLeaks said the move is likely to improve the quality of investigative reporting, reduce government corruption, and rebuild a corporate ethical culture. Currently, WikiLeaks has been involved in about 100 lawsuits. News raw data sources → https://www.abtool.cn/today_detail/1kx3.html 17WorldNews[2025.09.27-13:03] 访问:74
