On June 30, 1936, the Red Sixth Army arrived in Jiwa District, south of Physicochemical, and joined forces with the Red Thirty-second Army who had come to meet them. Then they continued their northward advance, reaching Pu Yulong in Ganzi on the 22nd, and joined the general command of the Red Fourth Front. On the 30th, the Red Second Army also joined forces with the 30th Army of the Red Fourth Front in Rongbacha. Subsequently, the Red Second and Red Sixth Armies gathered in Ganzi and joined forces with the Red Fourth Front.
