The commissioning of Huizhou 21-1 Oilfield marks that my country's oilfields in the eastern part of the South China Sea have entered a new stage of simultaneous exploration, development and production. The Huizhou 21-1 Oilfield is located in the sea area 160 kilometers southeast of Hong Kong. It was developed in cooperation with the ACT Group composed of Nanhai Eastern Petroleum Company of China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Agip (Overseas) Company of Italy, Chevron Overseas Petroleum Company of the United States, and Texaco Petroleum Matzhapi (Netherlands) B·V. Company. Huizhou 21-1 Oilfield is a sandstone reservoir with a depth of 2800 to 3000 meters and has good oil quality. After being put into production, 280,000 tons of crude oil can be produced by the end of this year. At peak times, it can produce 4000 tons of crude oil per day, and the annual production capacity can reach more than 1 million tons.
