The remaining 22 defendants were sentenced to suspended death, life imprisonment, and fixed-term imprisonment ranging from 20 to 1 year. Wang Tianlun was arrested and brought to justice for monopolizing the pig business for more than 10 years. During the 10 years of Wang Tianlun's gang, the organization committed a lot of crimes, and the indictment listed 20 criminal facts only for the crime of forced trading. In 1996, Wang Tianlun, who already had a lot of capital, established Chongqing Yonghong Food Co., Ltd. in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing City, to operate the slaughtering pig business. At that time, the competition in the pig slaughtering market was relatively fierce. Wang Tianlun arranged for his brother Wang Tianping, his brother Wang Dongming, and his brother-in-law Li Canghai to recruit a group of social idlers and forcibly intercept live pigs in Hechuan District, Chongqing and other places to slaughter in Yonghong Company. Early violence was limited to a few areas. After March 1999, Wang Tianlun targeted most areas of Chongqing's urban area. He illegally controlled the pork sales market in Hechuan, Chongqing, and Dadukou District, Jiulongpo District, and High-tech Zone for nearly 10 years through forced transactions, intentional injuries, and extortion. He forced business owners to sell pork from his Yonghong Company and Jinpu Company, making illegal profits of hundreds of millions of yuan. Merchants who were "disobedient" were killed. Wang Tianlun's organization members must regularly report the situation of the pig acquisition and sales market, hold regular meetings and meals, punish members of the organization who are ineffective, and come forward to solve illegal and criminal acts that occur because of safeguarding their organization's interests. In the pork market, there are various "eyes and ears" penetrated by Wang Tianlun's organization. In order to monopolize the pig market and obtain illegal benefits, Wang Tianlun's organization not only spared "small things", but also created many influential incidents at that time. In 2003, Pan Guisheng, a business owner, did not hand over the purchased pigs to Yonghong Company for slaughter, but slaughtered them and sold them locally. Gang member Wang Dongming immediately organized members to beat Pan, causing Pan Guisheng's skull to be crushed and fractured, and the rescue was ineffective. Wen Qiang was tried. Wen Qiang received money to act as an umbrella company. Every time the gang members engaged in illegal and criminal activities for the benefit of the organization, Wang Tianlun would settle it by paying compensation fees and bribing officials. In September 2007, Wang Tianlun found Li Jinsong, the chairperson of a hotel in Chongqing, and invested 500,000 yuan for Li to help contact Wenqiang, the former deputy director of Chongqing Public Security Bureau. Li Jinsong contacted Wenqiang through Huang Daiqiang, deputy captain of the Criminal Police Corps of Chongqing Public Security Bureau, and then bribed Huang 100,000 yuan. In the restaurant, Li Jinsong gave Wen Qiang 200,000 yuan, asking Wen Qiang to help Wang Tianlun's gang in the murder of Pan Guisheng. After Wen Qiang accepted the property sent by Wang Tianlun through Li Jinsong, he exerted influence on the relevant leaders of the Criminal Police Corps of Chongqing Public Security Bureau and the police handling the case, and arranged to hand over the case to Huang Daiqiang, who received the money. Huang Daiqiang did not organize the police to carry out the investigation work and interrupted the investigation activities of the case, resulting in a defendant being released on bail pending trial after making a guilty confession, which caused Wang Tianlun and Wang Dongming to escape legal punishment for the organization and leader of the underworld organization for two years.
