On this day, 125 years ago, on September 23, 1900 (August 30, 1900, the Second International Paris Congress was held. On September 23, 1900, the Second International held its fifth congress in Paris. A total of 791 representatives attended the conference. This conference mainly launched a fierce struggle around the issue of French Socialist Millelin accepting the invitation of the French bourgeois government to serve as Minister of Commerce. German Social Democrats Luxembourg and other leftists firmly advocate sanctions against Mileland's betrayal. Luxembourg pointedly pointed out: "In bourgeois society, the Social Democratic Party, due to its nature, must play the role of an opposition party. Only in the ruins of the bourgeois state can it become the ruling party." On the other hand, Rightists such as Jaures, Bernstein, and Wanderveld believed that Mileland's entry into the cabinet was the starting point for the proletariat to seize power. At the critical moment when the left and right armies were fighting fiercely, Kautsky appeared as a centrist faction. He described Mileland's entry into the cabinet as not a matter of principle involving Marxism, but a matter of specific tactics for socialists in various countries. The General Assembly adopted Kautsky's ambiguous "rubber" resolution by a vote of 29 to 9 (with voting votes). At this conference, it was also decided to establish the Executive Board of the International Socialist Party. As the permanent executive body of the Second International, Wang Dewerde, the right-wing leader of the Belgian Socialist Party, served as the chairman of the Executive Board. From then on, the Second International entered a period of control by revisionists and gradual degeneration. The Paris Congress ended on September 27. After the Paris Conference, revisionism became increasingly arrogant, and the international communist movement was facing serious dangers. Lenin, the proletarian revolutionary mentor, shouldered the burden of resolutely fighting against revisionism and developed Marxism into the Leninist class.
