On July 15, 2012 (May 27, 2012 in the lunar calendar), American film actress Celeste Home passed away. American film actress Celeste Homme Celeste Homme was born in Brooklyn on April 29, 1917. She not only created an indelible image of a passionate woman in the Broadway classic musical "Oklahoma" created by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein in the 1940s, but also won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the classic film "Gentlemen's Agreement" in 1947. Holme's acting career lasted for more than 60 years, and on the stage and on the big screen, she played roles ranging from charming teenage girls to sophisticated and fragile professional women. On July 15, 2012, U.S. local time, Holme passed away in his apartment in Manhattan at the age of 95. Celeste Home was committed to charity and theater protection projects during his lifetime.
