Wei Jianxing's resume: Born in January 1931, from Xinchang, Zhejiang Province, joined the Party and worked in March 1949, graduated from the Mechanical Department of Dalian Institute of Technology, majoring in mechanical manufacturing, and is a senior engineer. From 1947 to 1949, he studied at the Affiliated High School of Guanghua University in Shanghai. From 1949 to 1952, he studied mechanical manufacturing at the Mechanical Department of Dalian Institute of Technology. From 1952 to 1953, he studied at the Fushun Russian Training Class of the Nonferrous Metals Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Industry of Northeast China. From 1953 to 1955, he went to the Urakamsk Aluminum Processing Plant in the Soviet Union to study business management. From 1955 to 1966, he served as deputy section chief and section chief of the Production Planning Section of the State-owned Northeast Light Alloy Processing Plant, workshop director, director of the factory director's office, factory production commander, and member of the Standing Committee of the factory Party Committee. From 1966 to 1970, he was hit during the "Cultural Revolution" and later decentralized workshop labor. From 1987 to 1992, he served as Minister of Supervision and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group. In October 1992, he was elected as a member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of the Secretariat of the 14th CPC Central Committee, and member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. In October 1993, he was elected chairman of the 12th Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. From 1995 to August 1997, he served concurrently as a member, standing committee member and secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. In September 1997, he was elected as member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 15th CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary and Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. From October 1998 to December 2002, he served as Chairman of the 13th Executive Committee of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. At 8 a.m. on August 7, 2015, Wei Jianxing passed away in Beijing at the age of 85.
