On this day, 66 years ago, on August 31, 1959 (July 28, 1959 in the lunar calendar), the Beijing Workers 'Stadium was completed. On September 13, 1959, the first National Games of the People's Republic of China was held at the newly completed Beijing Workers 'Stadium. On August 31, 1959, the large-scale and well-equipped Beijing Workers' Stadium was built in the eastern suburbs of Beijing. Beijing Workers 'Stadium was the largest comprehensive stadium in my country at that time, covering an area of 35 hectares and a building area of more than 80,000 square meters.
