Daming Prefecture is located in the southeast of Hebei Province, at the junction of Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. In the Five Dynasties, the Tang Dynasty was named Xingtangfu, the Jin Dynasty was named Guangjin Prefecture, which was also named Tianxiong Army. In the Han Dynasty, it was renamed Daming Prefecture. In the Zhou Dynasty, it was still named Daming Prefecture and was built as Beijing. In the Jin Dynasty, it was named Daming Prefecture. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was still named Daming Prefecture. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Zhili Province. It was abolished by the Republic of China, so it was named Daming County Daming County in Hebei Province.
