The newsweek said that although Moscow officials have not yet confirmed the sale of weapons, the delivery of the MiG-29 is at the time of exposing the vulnerability of Iran's old air force.

According to the Newsweek, the Iranian air force has long relied on U.S. fighter jets purchased before 1979, supplemented by a small number of Russian-made aircraft and domestic-upgraded models.
