On the morning of 26 local time, an Australian Airways spokesman confirmed that the Australian Airways Flight QFA141, which flew from Sydney to Auckland, declared a state of emergency because of the suspected fire on the plane while flying over the Tasman Sea between Australia and New Zealand.

According to reports, the flight has landed safely at Auckland Airport, with a total of 162 passengers on board. Airport emergency department officials revealed that reports indicate that there may be a fire inside the cargo cabin of the aircraft, and the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
