Reuters reported on the 25th that 59-year-old Anutin was originally from Guangdong, China, and his Chinese name was Chen Xiyao. He was born in a prominent Chinese family in Bangkok. He studied in the United States and holds degrees in engineering and management. After completing his studies, he joined the family business-Zhongtai Engineering and Construction Company, and became the general manager in 1995. During this period, he participated in many major infrastructure projects, including Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

In 1996, Anutin first got involved in politics, serving as an adviser to the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, then joining the Thai Love Thai Party led by former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, and held a series of important positions such as the Ministry of Commerce and Deputy Minister of Health during the five years of the party's administration. However, in 2006, a military coup broke out in Thailand, and the Thai Love Thai Party was ordered to dissolve. Anutin, a senior leader in the party, was implicated and suffered a five-year political ban.

In 2012, Anutin rebounded strongly, replacing his father with the pride of being the head of the Thai Party, and joined the Cabinet of the government in 2019 as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, playing a key role in dealing with the new coronavirus epidemic. In June this year, after the outbreak of the "Call Door" incident, Anutin, politically sensitive, decidedly resigned from the cabinet post, gaining overwhelming advantage in parliament with a clever layout and decisive action, and successfully "transformed" from the Deputy Prime Minister.

Anutin has been married three times, and his current wife, Neilamite, also comes from a wealthy Thai Chinese family. The Thai public television revealed that Anutin was romantically acquainted with Neilamite during his tenure as Minister of Health, and the first encounter between the two was in a coffee shop opened in Neilamite, when Anutin first met her.

In fact, before he became prime minister, Anutin was well known to many Chinese tourists and the media. In early 2023, for the revitalization of the tourism industry, Thailand officially organized a massive take-off event, and then-vice prime minister Anutin led a group of officials to the Swansea airport in person to welcome Chinese tourists and send souvenirs. Afterwards, in an interview with Central TV, Anutin sincerely said that every time he saw Chinese people felt "very kindly" because his ancestors were from China, "he also spoke Chinese at home."

On September 23, Aung San Suu Kyi was also present at the Chinese Embassy in Bangkok to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. In his speech, he said that the relationship between Thailand and China is a family, and that millions of Thai people have cultural roots and bloodliners connected with Chinese ancestors.
