On September 25, local time, the CCTV reporter confirmed from several sides that the UN Security Council was temporarily scheduled to vote on the 26th afternoon on the draft resolution proposed by China and Russia to extend the exemption from Iran's nuclear agreement sanctions. On August 28, Britain, Germany and France sent a letter to the Security Council calling for the resumption of sanctions against Iran in accordance with the terms of the Iran nuclear deal. On September 19th, the Security Council voted to fail to adopt the draft resolution extending the exemption. It is understood that the Sino-Russian draft advocates extending the Iranian nuclear deal and Resolution 2231 for six months to April 18, 2026 for dialogue.
