On September 25, Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Birakhtar said that Turkey and the United States had signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation to deepen the two countries' multi-level cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

During his visit to the White House, Mr. Barakhtar wrote on his social platform that the memorandum was signed by him and U.S. Secretary of State Rubio on behalf of both sides, including research, investment, technical exchange and other aspects, and he said that he hopes that the cooperation between the two sides in this framework will bring long-term mutually beneficial results for the two countries.
