An American immigration law enforcement agency was shot and one detainee was killed and two were seriously injured.

At about 6: 40 a.m. local time on September 24th, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was shot at a field office in Dallas, Texas, killing one detainee and seriously injuring two others. The gunman shot from the roof of a nearby building and then shot himself.

FBI Director Patel posted a photo of the suspect's alleged unused ammunition on social platforms, in which the words "Anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ANTI-ICE)" were clearly visible on the side of one of the bullets. "Although the investigation is still ongoing, preliminary evidence shows that there is an ideological motive behind this attack," Patel wrote.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said in a statement that the gunmen “scaned intentionally” the building where the office was located, including firing at a car at the security entrance where the victim was inside the car.

Several U.S. media sources said the gunman was Joshua Yang, 29, who lives in McKinley, Dallas, about 48 kilometers from NATO, where FBI agents have entered one of his homes to search.
