On Monday, several leaders spoke at the general debate of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, calling for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and promoting the implementation of the "two-state plan".

In his speech at the general debate of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, Kenyan President Ruto said that Kenya is deeply concerned about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and the huge damage caused by Israeli military operations to local civilians. He called for the unconditional release of all detainees, a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, strict compliance with international humanitarian law, and advancement of the political process to realize the "two-state solution".

In his speech, King Felipe VI of Spain called on the Israeli government to stop the massacre in the Gaza Strip. He said Israel's actions were contrary to the spirit represented by the United Nations, and faced with so many civilian deaths that the international community could not remain silent.

In his speech, Finnish President Stuart Bush supported international efforts to promote the ¡°Two-State Plan.¡± He said negotiations must meet the Palestinian people¡¯s right to self-determination and realize the legitimate desire to establish a sovereign and independent Palestinian state. Israel has no right to violate international law on the Palestinian issue, and the illegal occupation must end. The international community must support the Palestinian authorities to effectively jurisdict all Palestinian territories including Gaza and the West Bank.
